SONY’S latest State of Play proved to be a little light on new reveals last week, but it did give some updates on anticipate­d releases.

As expected, the live stream focused heavily on Deathloop, with nine minutes of gameplay footage from the action-adventurer showcased.

The Sony timed-exclusive is due out on September 14, and will be available only to PS5 players until September 2022, when it will be unleashed on other consoles.

Sadly missing from the show was any news about the new God of War game, or the hotly anticipate­d Horizon Forbidden West.

But fans did get a look at co-op shooter Arcadegedd­on, and the adorable VR adventure sequel Moss: Book 2.

Here are five of the biggest announceme­nts made.

The first Moss game was absolutely wonderful, following the adventures of the courageous young mouse, Quill.

A surprise hit on the PSVR, it left

Director’s cut players wanting more – and that’s exactly what they’ll get in Book 2.

It was a welcome announceme­nt in a stream light on reveals, and showed Quill facing down bad guys in beautiful gardens and a tower cathedral.

No solid release date was given, but expect it early next year. hit, so it’s no surprise that Quill’s adventures that was even longer to play through.

But this sounds quite intriguing, especially the package-firing cargo gun.

If you got the first game on the PS4, and have since bought a PS5, you’ll be able to get the full upgraded version for $10 (about £7.20).
