Top indie band to rock festival return

-

INDIE rock band The Fratellis will headline Rochdale Feel Good Festival when it returns on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

After a two-year delay due to the pandemic, organisers are promising that next year is going to be well worth the wait.

Since winning the Best British Breakthrough gong at the BRIT Awards, the multi-platinum Glaswegian three-piece have enjoyed huge success, with five top 20 albums and five top 40 singles.

They played Rochdale Feel Good Festival back in 2016, and since then have gone from strength to strength winning a new generation of fans thanks to 2018’s top 5 album ‘In your own sweet time,’ followed with 2021’s acclaimed Half-drunk under a full moon.’

Rochdale Feel Good Festival will feature another showcase of top class entertainment, food and culture. There will be live music across indoor venues, a main stage sponsored by The Flying Horse Hotel, plus quality food and drink.

The Fratellis will be joined by previously announced northern soul band The Northern Soultrain, Manchester singer/songwriter Abbie Ozard, alternative dance band ENTT, indie/folk duo Firewoodisland, and DJ Dave Sweetmore with more to be announced, including a local battle of the bands winner.

Ben Boothman, owner of The Flying Horse Hotel, said: “Next year’s festival will be very special. We’ve had some phenomenal headliners over the years but The Fratellis are up there as one of the very best, so to see them return will be amazing, as anyone lucky enough to see them last time around will agree.

Tickets (£7) will go on sale at 11am on Thursday August 19 2021 at www. rochdalefeelgoodfestival. co.uk and you will be able to book in person at Touchstones Rochdale, Heywood Civic Centre and Middleton Arena.

The festival is funded by the council together with ticket sales and sponsorship from local businesses. If you would like to get involved with the festival, email events@rochdale.gov.uk For more information visit www.rochdale feelgoodfestival.co.uk.
