THE top two in division A kept up their unbeaten records with comfortabl­e wins.

Leaders Mellor reserves accounted for Bury reserves 5-2 but red-hot Didsbury are on their tail with a 6-0 win at Manchester Rovers keeping them poised four points behind with two games in hand.

Moston Brook thirds had a big win over Flixton JFC and Signol Athletic cruised to a

6-0 win over local rivals Spurley Hey reserves.

It was much closer in the other two games with Trafford United reserves winning an entertaini­ng game with Rochdalian­s 3-2 and Altrincham Hale were 3-1 winners hosting AFC Oldham.

Division B leaders AFC Stockport

Warriors lost out 3-2 at Moston Brook fourths to give hope to the non-playing chasing pack led by Timperley Villa and AFC Oldham reserves.

Village Manchester reserves moved level with them with a tight 2-1 win over Broadheath Central.

Limited action in the Premier division saw the top two widen the gap on their rivals with leaders Moston Brook winning their local derby at Abacus Media 3-0. But lurking eight points behind Brook with three games in hand are Salford Vics.

A hat-trick from Josh Lawman two from Mikey Lawlor and one from Myles Jevons gave Vics a 6-1 win against Hattersley to carry on their unbeaten run at the start of the season in a game played in a great spirit with some wonderful football.

Division one is very competitiv­e with plenty of clubs behind the top two with games in hand poised to impact the title race.

Leaders Bedians had to work hard for a 2-1 win over Bury Ams to stay six points clear of non-playing Moston Brook reserves with their goals coming from Eric Aseymung and Elliott Rocca.

Trafford United were the big hitters with a 10-1 win over basement team Stretford Paddock Ams.

North Walkden kept an immaculate clean sheet in an efficient 3-0 win over R Kix but it was close in the other two games.

Hazel Grove and Salford Albion shared six goals in an entertaini­ng game at the excellent Hazel Grove High School facility and Rushford Park and Village Manchester were locked at 1-1.

Division two leaders Bollington H and L continue their great start in the L and C and maintained their 100% record with a 4-2 victory over Boarshaw.

Their nearest challenger­s Dukinfield Athletic kept in touch with an exciting 4-3 win over Salford Vics reserves.

FC Babylon picked up a vital point in a 2-2 draw with Elton Hargreaves.

The other game in the division was also a close affair with

Hooley Bridge Celtic able to celebrate their second win of the season edging out Abacus Media 2-1 in a local derby.

J Lingz stay top of division three but lowly South Manchester made them work hard for a 4-2 win.

Second-placed Stoconians lost ground on the leaders going down 2-1 at Badger Casulas

Waiting to pounce are AFC Stockport who have games in hand over the top two and won a close game by the odd goal in three against Santos

Stockport took an early lead but were pegged back just before the break with a goal from Reece Holden.

The hosts scored the winner around the hour mark. Santos thought they had equalised late on but were denied by an offside call.

Goals galore in the other two games in the division with Saddlewort­h 3D sparkling in a 7-4 win over Hillgate and Old Stretfordi­ans reserves beat Dom Doyle 5-3.
