Black history party is set to turn on the style
ROCHDALE is gearing up to celebrate Black History Month in grand style on October 26, at the illustrious Champness Hall.
Sponsored by Caring and Sharing - Rochdale and Rochdale Borough Council, the event promises to be an unforgettable celebration of African and Afro-caribbean culture, heritage and achievements.
This year’s Black History Month event will be the sixth of its kind organised by Caring and Sharing - Rochdale and it promises to be a feast for the senses, showcasing the rich tapestry of African and Afro-caribbean culture.
Attendees can expect a wide array of engaging activities, from mesmerising music and dance performances to dramatic storytelling and the enchanting recitation of African poetry.
The event will come alive with the rhythmic beats of African drums and the infectious energy of dance performances that will get the audience on their feet.
For those who like a little competition, a raffle draw with exciting prizes awaits, while games and face painting offer fun activities for all ages.
But the cultural experience doesn’t stop there; the event will also feature a delectable selection of African and Afro-caribbean cuisine, allowing attendees to savour the flavours of these diverse cultures.

The event is made possible through the sponsorship and support of Caringandsharing -Rochdale, an organisation dedicated to fostering community cohesion and inclusivity and Rochdale Borough Council, which recognises the importance of honouring and celebrating the heritage and achievements of the Black community.
