Six charged in drugs inquiry
SIX suspects have been named as part of an investigation into a drugs conspiracy.
Multiple warrants were executed by Cumbria Police, North West Regional Organised Crime Team and Greater Manchester Police at locations in Barrow-infurness, Oldham and Rochdale this week.
A total of seven people were arrested as part of an ongoing operation to disrupt organised crime groups involved in county lines drug dealing.
Six people have been charged for drug offences and a seventh person who was arrested has been released under investigation.
Brandon Mcguire, 24, from Barrow-in-furness, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs to include heroin, crack cocaine and cocaine.
Jackson Young , 20, from Barrow-in-furness, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs. He has also been charged with possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession with intent to supply ketamine.
Gregory Bell, 46, from Barrow-in-furness, has been charged with
conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Shamim Hussain, 28, from Oldham, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Tamzin Saywell, 19, from Barrow-in-furness, has been charged with conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
Sarah Kolsuma Sadiq, 29, from Rochdale, has been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
Saywell, Hussain and Kolsuma are due to appear at Preston Crown Court on December 15, while Bell, Mcguire and Young are due to appear at Furness and District Magistrates’ Court on December 20.
The seventh person arrested, who is from Manchester, has been released under investigation.
