Talk, a compassionate organisation spearheaded by Humera Haqqani MBE, extended a helping hand to the vulnerable and less fortunate in society.
During the event, Let’s Talk, under the guidance of Humera Haqqani MBE, generously distributed Christmas presents, brand-new winter coats, jackets, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, and other essential items to individuals facing challenging circumstances.
Attendees included the homeless, those experiencing financial difficulties and anyone requiring support during the holiday season.
The initiative aimed not only to provide material support but also to foster a sense of warmth and community spirit during this special time of the year.
This event wasn’t an isolated act of kindness by Let’s Talk. The organisation has been actively involved in supporting the community throughout the year. Every Thursday from 11 am to 2 pm, Let’s Talk has been running a weekly drop-in soup kitchen, offering a warm meal and hot drinks to anyone in need, without asking any questions or imposing conditions. This ongoing initiative has been a lifeline for many, ensuring that nobody goes hungry or feels excluded.
Reflecting on the event a representative from Let’s Talk, expressed gratitude for the support received from the local community and reiterated the organisation’s dedication to continuing to serve and uplift those in need, not just during the festive season but throughout the year.
Let’s Talk’s ongoing efforts exemplify the power of community support and solidarity, demonstrating how collective efforts can significantly impact the lives of those facing adversity. As Rochdale continues to unite in support of its residents, Let’s Talk remains a shining example of compassion and kindness.
