Kwaku returns to parent club

-

KWAKU Oduroh has returned to his parent club Derby County.

The full-back joined Dale on loan from the League One side in the summer, making 22 appearances in total.

He scored his first professional goal in our 2-0 Boxing Day win over AFC Fylde.

“It’s with a heavy heart that Kwakes [Kwaku Oduroh] returns to Derby,” said Mcnulty.

“He’s had a brilliant loan for us and contributed greatly towards all of our efforts on the pitch.

“But beyond being a good player, he was an amazing teammate to the rest of the squad and a good person who will always remain on the journey with us.

“His goal, his first in professional football on Boxing Day, will live long in the memory of all of us and was a really special moment for him to cherish and for us too.

“We wish Kwakes all the very best for the remainder of the season and beyond and thank him completely for his total commitment in a Dale shirt.”

Meanwhile the club

updated supporters on the recent £1 matchday tickets for the clash against Fylde on Boxing Day.

A club statement read: “It was great to welcome so many new and returning faces to the Crown Oil Arena for our Boxing Day fixture.

“With a home crowd of 4,325, our home attendance for the game against AFC Fylde was up 77% on our season average before that point.

“In our ten most recent

Boxing Day home fixtures prior to this campaign, the total attendance, on average, grew 16 per cent on top of our average crowd for that particular season.

“For the game against the Coasters, the total attendance grew 46 per cent on this season’s average.

“With the increased attendance, the total kiosk takings were up 41 per cent on the season average and the spend in our bars was up 43 per cent.

“As part of our follow up to the game, we have sent surveys to fans who attended, whether they purchased a ticket or received one complimentary through Rochdale Council, Action Together or Dale Supporters Trust.

“77 per cent of those supporters who attended rated their experience of the day at four or above out of five, with an average rating of 4.32 out of five when asked how likely it is that they will be returning to a match this season.

“A survey was also sent out to those supporters who purchased a ticket but did not attend the match, as we continue to gather feedback on the initiative and the day itself.

“There is further follow up activity planned, with students from UCFB supporting us, such as utilising the data garnered from the event and the follow up survey feedback, to help to attract people back to a future game at the Crown Oil Arena, starting with the upcoming game against Wealdstone.
