ST MARY’S, BALDERSTONE

-

TOMORROW, we’d love you to join us at our service of Holy Communion beginning at 10.30am.

Last weekend Rev Greenfield began our sermon series in Esther. An unusual book of the Bible that doesn’t mention God directly but shows how unseen God works through history to fulfil His purposes.

It looks at how a young Jewish woman became Persia’s queen and gained influence with a powerful and narcissistic king. This week Rev Ben Wilkinson will continue the story looking at chapters 3 and

4. Children’s groups will be available for ages

four-11.

Tomorrow evening, we will be meeting at St Saviours, for our joint Prayer meeting between

6.30pm-7.30pm. St Saviour’s church is on Bishopsgate Street, off Denton Lane, Chadderton, OL9 9BF.

SMURFS (St Mary’s Under 5s) stay-and-play meets on Tuesday,

1.30-3pm in the parish room. New members are welcome. There is a small charge of £1 for one adult with one child and an extra 30p each for extra children.

We have a range of small groups - Wednesday daytime meets at 10am in the church lounge. Wednesday 7.30pm at the home of a group member. Thursday evening,

7.20-9pm, Zoom only.

This term we are looking at Hebrews.

It’s an opportunity to explore the Bible, share your thoughts and hear what others think. You can say anything you like, or nothing at all. All are welcome and if you decide it’s not for you there’s no pressure to come back.

The Hope Explored course also continues on Wednesday evening. Please contact the church office for more details.

Advance notice women’s breakfast returns next weekend.
