Leaving a Legacy (Family History) by Liesl Beckles. Light refreshmen­ts are served on arrival and non-members are very welcome to attend. There is a small charge of £3.50 for non-members and £2.50 for members.

Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 8pm (doors open at 7.30pm) in the fully accessible (via the station ramp) History Centre on Platform 2 of

battle Oldham CC. We meet every Wednesday at Rochdale Unitarian Church, starting at 7.30pm prompt (doors open from 7.15pm). The door is kept locked so please ring the bell on arrival.

If you would like to see the club for yourself and meet our members, you are welcome to attend as our guest for up to three weeks before committing to membership. Annual subscripti­on is £36 for single or £46 for joint membership.

● Heywood AODS Presents Young Frankenste­in (Until March 16)

From the creators of the record-breaking Broadway sensation The Producers comes this monster new musical comedy. The comedy genius Mel Brooks adapts his legendry funny film into a brilliant stage creation - Young Frankenste­in! Grandson of the infamous Victor Frankenste­in, Frederick Frankenste­in (pronounced “Fronk-en-steen”) inherits his family’s estate in Transylvan­ia. With the help of a hunchbacke­d sidekick, Igor (pronounced “Eye-gore”), and a leggy lab assistant, Inga (pronounced normally), Frederick finds himself in the mad scientist shoes of his ancestors. “It’s alive!” he exclaims as he brings to life a creature to rival his grandfathe­r’s. ● Mads at the Theatre proudly present local entertainm­ent (March 16-17). Entertainm­ent by a local amateur dramatic society.
