ST CHAD’S AND ST MARY IN THE BAUM
TODAY, Saturday, April 13, at St Chad’s at noon, a Midday Concert features the Kell Trio, a flute, clarinet and bassoon trio of highly experienced musicians. Admission is #6 including refreshments, available from 11.30am.
Tomorrow, April 14, is the Second Sunday after Easter (the 3rd of Easter). The Eucharist, with hymns, is at St Mary’s at 9.15am. The celebrant is the Vicar, the Rev Anne Gilbert.
Choral Matins is at St Chad’s at 11.15am, led by the Rev Pamela Parr. The choir will sing verses from Psalm 136 and the anthem Awake thou Wintry Earth by J.S. Bach. At both services the preacher is the Vicar.
The Annual Parish Meeting is after the service, at 12.15pm.
Everyone is welcome to read the annual report and volunteer to be on the Parochial Church Council.
Members of the PCC need to be regular attenders and be on the church electoral role for at least six months.
Each Monday at St Mary’s, the Red Cross provides help for refugees from 10am until 2pm. Refreshments are available and admission is free.
Next Wednesday, April 17, at St Mary’s at
12.30pm, the Toad Lane Lunchtime Concert features Jane Burnell, soprano, and Tim Kennedy, piano. Admission is £6.
Next Thursday, Holy Communion is at St Chad’s at 10am. Everyone is welcome.
Cleaning the church takes place from 10.30am until noon. Volunteers are especially welcome. Cleaning materials are provided.

St Chad’s, on Sparrow Hill, overlooking the Town Hall, has been Rochdale’s Parish Church for over
800 years.
Together with our sister church, St Mary in the Baum, we are still serving the community of Rochdale today and you are warmly welcome to join us. Children’s activities are available during Sunday morning services and refreshments are available afterwards.
