ST MARY’S, BALDERSTONE

TOMORROW, we’d love you to join us at our service of Holy Communion beginning at

10.30am.

Last Weekend the Rev Wilkinson began our new sermon series ‘Messy People, Faithful God’ as we returned to look at Genesis.

This week we’ll be looking at the end of chapter eighteen and at chapter nineteen.

Children’s groups will be available.

There are groups for children aged four - 11.

Light refreshments are served after the service.

Hope to see you tomorrow- We’ll have the coffee waiting!

Tomorrow evening, we will be meeting at St Saviour’s, for our joint prayer meeting between

6.30pm to 7.30pm. St Saviours church is on Bishopsgate Street, off Denton Lane, Chadderton, OL9 9BF.

These evenings are a great opportunity for members of all the churches to meet, worship and pause in God’s presence.

Our midweek activities are mostly back to normal this week:

SMURFS (St Mary’s Under Fives) meets on Tuesday afternoon

1.30pm - 3pm in the parish room.

There is a small charge of £1 for one adult with one child and an extra 30p each for extra children.

It’s a fun session with play, craft and music for under fives.

Small Groups provide a place for us to deepen our friendships while we develop our faith.

This term we are working though the book of Micah - a book that is regularly quoted from at Christmas but rarely read through as a whole so it should be interesting.

There are a range of groups - Wednesday

daytime meets at 10am in the church lounge.

Wednesday 7.30pm at the home of a group member.

Thursday evening, 7.20pm - 9pm, Zoom only.

Advance notice: You are very warmly invited to attend our church annual Parochial Church meeting (APCM) on Monday, April 29, at 7.30pm.

The APCM is an opportunity to gather together, review the year, look ahead and vote new members onto the church council.

There’s also an opportunity to ask questions about the church and our plans.
