Pete Otway - A multi-award nominated comedian, presenter and former dairy farmer. His razor-sharp wit and hilarious tales have taken him across the world, whilst making him in demand at some of the biggest comedy clubs and festivals in the UK.

Jon Capewell - A rising star on the comedy circuit. His high energy, cheeky personalit­y, and relatable material are a hit with audiences up and down the UK.

Sully O’sullivan - Kiwi comedian Sully O’sullivan has gone on to become a veteran of the internatio­nal circuit, performing profession­ally in Australasi­a, North America, Arabia, the British Isles and Europe.

Nick Page - His shows are full to bursting with stories from a life lived on the edge of (selfinflic­ted) disaster. He has been awarded the Operationa­l Service Medal by the British army for numerous gigs in warzones.

He’s reached the live finals of Britain’s Got Talent despite having never watched the show.

●●TOAD Lane Concerts - Rochdale’s Weekly Music at Lunchtime (May 8)

THIS week we have The Nightingal­e Singers conductor Ken Greaves, accompanis­t J Edward Rigg.

The concert series has been held at St Mary’s since 2001 and was granted the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2020.

Running every Wednesday, Music at Lunchtime is a weekly live classical music concert series that has been going since the 1960s.

The sessions were initially run at the old Rochdale Art Gallery by the local authority, but since May 2001 have been run by volunteere­nthusiasts and artistic director, Dr Joe Dawson.
