Winifred enjoyed gardening, holidaying abroad with her sister-inlaw Edith and got great pleasure from doing dry stone walling.

Wife of the late Stanley, she leaves sons Andrew and Alec, daughter-in-law Michelle, grandchildren Ben and Gemma and great-grandchildren Demi and Joe.

Reverend Janice Trimble will officiate at the service at Shawforth Methodist Chapel on Tuesday, August 2 at 11.30am, followed by interment at Whitworth Cemetery.

footwear sewing machinist in her younger years, working for Lambert Howarth before starting her own footwear business which she ran until retirement.

She loved crosswords, reading, family holidays and having her grandchildren to stay.

She leaves her husband Brian, sister Carol, brother Michael, son Lee, daughter-in-law Janette, grandchildren Macy and Quinn, brother and sister-in-law Margaret and Roy and many friends.

Her funeral took place on Wednesday, July 27.
