Care Home gets ‘Good’ rating

A RAWTENSTAL­L care home has been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission

Holme Manor Care Home on Holme Lane was given the thumbs-up across the board in all the care body’s inspection areas, including how safe, effective and caring the service is.

In their report, inspectors who visited the care home at the end of June, said people told them they felt safe and were happy with the care they received.

They said: “Processes were in place to maintain a safe and appropriat­e environmen­t and protect the safety of people using the service, staff and visitors.

“Training was in place for staff to ensure they were competent in recognisin­g the signs of abuse and how to respond and ensure any safeguardi­ng issues had been notified to the relevant authoritie­s.”

Inspectors said that ●● Holme Manor care home Rawtenstal­l during their visit to the care home they saw great emphasis was placed on meaningful activities.

They said: “People were involved in community projects and further activities were tailored around individual need to ensure participat­ion from everybody.

“Staff interacted and engaged well with people. Staff were caring and respectful in their approach and treated people as individual­s.”
