SCI-FI ON THE SIDINGS

Where is it?: East Lancashire Railway, Rawtenstall. When is it?: Saturday, April 1 to Sunday, April 2. What does it involve?: Dig out that old Wookie outfit, dust off your laser gun and get set as the popular ‘Sci-Fi on the Sidings’ event returns to the East Lancashire Railway. Prepare for a truly unique experience with all of the bells and whistles of a science-fiction convention set against the unconventional background of a heritage railway. Take a train back to the future and explore the various themes taking place along the line including Alien vs Predator, Back to the Future, Dr Who, Ghostbusters, Jurassic Park, Knight Rider, Star Wars and more! Any other information?: Tickets cost £14.80 per adult, £13.30 per concession, £9.40 per child and £38 per family. When two people are dressed as science-fiction characters, one of the two can travel for free. JERAMIAH FERRARI

Where is it?: The Artisan, Rawtenstall, 1 Brook Street, Rawtenstall BB4 6AA. When is it?: Saturday, March 25. What does it involve?: Live music from brilliant Manchester-based reggae band Jeramiah Ferrari. Who is it suitable for?: 18+ anyone into great live music, reggae, soul, calypso or new music.
