BEFORE THE BENCH
CASES heard at Burnley Magistrates:
AMINUR Rahman Choudhury, 22, of Laburnum Street, Haslingden, was found guilty in his absence of using a car without insurance. He was fined £240, ordered to pay £150 costs and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
STEPHEN Hartley, 48, of Hill Street, Rochdale, was found guilty in his absence of using a car without insurance in Stacksteads. He was fined £660, ordered to pay £150 costs and given six points on his driving licence.
SHAUN Jarrett, 29, of Newchurch Road, Rawtenstall, was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver to police. He was fined £480, ordered to pay £310 costs and given six points on his driving licence.
THOMAS McVey, 32, of Onchan Drive, Bacup, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was fined £135 and ordered to pay £30 compensation and £150 costs.
JACQUELINE Anne Skelton, 56, of Clough Lea, Marsden, Huddersfield, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Bacup. She was fined £170, ordered to pay £250 costs and disqualified from driving for 12 months, reduced by 13 weeks if she completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
PAUL Darrell Jones, 21, of Hobson Street, Rawtenstall, pleaded guilty to shoplifting. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs.
TRACY Jean Hardman, 44, of Valley View, Whitworth, pleaded guilty to drink driving. She was given a 12-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for 30 months, reduced by 30 weeks if she completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
OWEN Kieran Brown, 22, of St Nicholas Mews, Sabden, pleaded guilty to driving while unfit through drugs. He was given a 12-month community order with 300 hours’ unpaid work and £85 costs.
YVETTE Louise Elsworth, 38, of Acre Avenue, Bacup, pleaded guilty to two counts of benefit fraud. She was given a nine-month community order with a six-week curfew requirement, a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement and ordered to pay £50 costs.
CASES heard at Blackburn Magistrates:
SAMUEL Edward Hayes, 26, of Burnley Road, Bacup, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplifting. He was ordered to pay £45 compensation.
PAUL Daniel Evans, 30, of Cooper Street, Bacup, pleaded guilty to entering Bacup Cricket Club as a trespasser with intent to steal. He was given a 12-week jail sentence, suspended for two years, with a supervision requirement, a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement, ordered to pay £400 compensation and pay £85 costs.
MICHAEL Dagg, 44, of Bacup Road, Rawtenstall, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. He was fined £40.
DANIELLE Yamana Apostoloff Boyarin, 21, of Riley Street, Bacup, pleaded guilty to three counts of shoplifting. She was given a six-week conditional discharge.
MARCIN Metel, 40, of Grogan Close, Whitworth, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was given a 12-month community order with a 10-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £50 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
