West way brings in haul of medals

●● Team West Freestyle Martial Arts MARTIAL ARTS EST Freestyle Martial Arts have been celebratin­g recently after a successful day at the World Kickboxing Associatio­n English Open Ring Sport Championsh­ips 2017.

The team came away with four English National Titles, ten silver medals and four bronze medals in Ringsport Boxing & Kickboxing – and placed in the top five teams of the country under the World Kickboxing Associatio­n.

Chris West (Owner and Head Coach of West Freestyle Martial Arts) said: “I couldn’t be happier. I’m so proud of every single one of my students, the juniors especially.

“They entered a National Event on what would be their first ever competitio­n and done themselves and every one so proud.”

Wthank everyone who, over the past nine months, have supported us since opening my club here in Rawtenstal­l, without people coming to the club we would not exist.

The kids classes at the club are growing in popularity and they have a few children who will be ready for their next bout later on this year.

The club is open fulltime Monday to Saturday, Chris is available for 1:1s or group personalis­ed training sessions during the day and is also open in the evening offering various activities from kids classes (ages 5-12), adults classes (13+), circuit training, ladies only classes and boxing and kickboxing lessons.
