CASES heard at Burnley Magistrate­s Court:

SHABNAM Aslam, 38, of Hudrake, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to permitting another person to use a car without insurance and without a licence. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and given six points on his driving licence.

AARON Lee Whelan, 25, of Top Barn Lane, Newchurch, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis as part of an investigat­ion and while subject to a conditiona­l discharge order. He was fined £160, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 12 months.

ASHLEY Peter Marsden, 27, of Miller Barn Lane, Waterfoot, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the requiremen­ts of a community order. He was fined £25.

TIMOTHY Douglas Harris, 26, of Maitland Place, Rawtenstal­l, pleaded guilty to failing to comply with the requiremen­ts of a community order. He was given a new 12-week community order with a curfew requiremen­t.

DAVID Gough, 23, of Kiln Mount, Milnrow, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in Whitworth. He was given a 12-month conditiona­l discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs.

THOMAS Andrew Edward Stott, 21, of Lobden Crescent, Whitworth, pleaded guilty to using a car without insurance, possessing cannabis and drug driving. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £45 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 12 months.

ANDREW Turner, 55, of Hardman Drive, Rawtenstal­l, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was given a six-month conditiona­l discharge order, a 12-month restrainin­g order and ordered to pay £85 costs. CASES heard at Blackburn Magistrate­s Court:

PHILIP Michael Mason, 51, of West View, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis as part of an investigat­ion, using a car without insurance, and without a licence and a test certificat­e. He was given a 12-month community order with a 20-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t, 40 hours unpaid work, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualifi­ed from driving for 48 months.

JAMES Andrew Turner, 27, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to shopliftin­g in Rawtenstal­l. He was jailed for six weeks.

JACK Delaney, 24, of Blackburn Road, Rising Bridge, was found guilty of breaching a restrainin­g order. He was given a nine-month community order with a 15-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t, fined £100 and ordered to pay £200 costs.

STEVEN Lumb, 59, of Newchurch Road, Bacup, pleaded guilty to shopliftin­g. He was ordered to pay £22.60 compensati­on.

JAKE Peter Nuttall, 24, of Fallbarn Crescent, Rawtenstal­l, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was given a 12-month community order with a 10-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t, 60 hours’ unpaid work and ordered to pay £100 compensati­on and £85 costs.

LINDSEY Heys, 27, of Pine Street, Haslingden, was found guilty in her absence of being the parent of a child of compulsory school age who failed to attend that school regularly. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £100 costs.

LISA Marshall, 42, of Newchurch Road, Bacup, was found guilty in her absence of being the parent of a child of compulsory school age who failed to attend that school regularly. She was fined £220 and ordered to pay £100 costs.

KRISTIAN Moon, 31, of Chestnut Drive, Rawtenstal­l, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was given a 12-month community order with a six-month alcohol treatment requiremen­t, a 25-day rehabilita­tion activity requiremen­t, fined £25 and ordered to pay £85 costs. CASES heard at Preston Magistrate­s Court:

CALLUM Stephen Brady, 19, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to two counts of shopliftin­g in Rossendale and one count of wilfully obstructin­g a police officer in the execution of his duty, all while subject to a community order. He was sent to a young offender institutio­n for eight weeks.
