Hospice has a ball

ROSSENDALE Hospice’s annual ball celebrated in style to mark the 30-year milestone of providing Hospice care in the Valley.

Almost 200 guests were greeted at the Hilton Hotel, Manchester, raising an impressive £27,000.

Guests were entertaine­d by magician Tristan Malgeri, dancers from Dance Like No one’s Watching, and The Valley Hoopers while singers ‘So Diva’ had the guests hitting the dancefloor with their soul hits.

Auction prizes included a JJO kitchen or bedroom, and a holiday in Croatia.

The icing on the cake was an auction prize of a fantastic black and gold leopard by Molly’s Creative Cakes which raised £1,000.

Sam Morris, fundraisin­g manager said: “This special event has grown over the years and the effort that goes into making this night enjoyable is down to the commitment and dedication of the Special Events Team and the guests who support it.
