Store books in charity cash

TESCO Haslingden ran a book stall over the summer to raise money to support local groups and organisations.

More than £2,500 has supported eight local community groups - VIC, Rossendale Radio, Made in Haslingden, Cancer Research, Positive Start Food Group, Red Box Project, Haslingden Civic Pride and Cherry Tree Pre School.

Store manager Bev Finnigan and community champion Colette Butler were amazed at the response from customers.
