‘999’ workers open funeral home

-

●● David Dawson and Hannah Vaughan of Signature Funerals A NEW funeral home has opened - and is promising a ‘fresh, original way’ to arrange a loved one’s funeral.

Signature Funerals, of Bolton Road West, Ramsbottom, is jointly owned by former firefighter David Dawson and ex-police officer Hannah Vaughan, who both live locally with their respective families.

David and Hannah offer clients the option to get away from ‘standardised’ funerals while still respecting the traditions of the past.

Hannah said: “We believe in giving people the choice of organising a funeral that truly reflects the life of their loved one.

“It can be a simple, value-orientated ceremony, or a more complex tailored one.”

Signature say there has been a move away from the more traditional Victorian-style funeral arrangements for a more personalised service.

Although they do provide the more traditional funeral, they say ceremonies can be held at sports clubs, pubs or the deceased’s favourite outdoor space.

They also offer packages which support families on low income, claiming benefits or those who simply do not want a funeral service at all.
