VERA Holt, of Townsend Street, Haslingden, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family, on Thursday, October 18.

Vera, who was the wife of the late James, leaves sons Gordon and Brian, daughter-in-law Gillian, eight grandchild­ren and six great-grandchild­ren.

She began her working life in Accrington in a card factory, before moving to work in the textile industry at Acre Mill.

She spent many years working at Karrimor in Haslingden, Accrington and finally Clayton as a product inspector, before her retirement.

The funeral will be held at Accrington Crematoriu­m at 11am on Wednesday, October 31, officiated by the Rev David Stephenson.

Family flowers only please.

She was a long serving member of Rossendale Ladies Luncheon Club.

Wife of the late Charles Derek Fenton, she leaves daughters Kathleen and Margaret, son-in-law David, grandsons Peter and wife Jenny and Richard and partner Emily, greatgrand­children Sophia and Jack and stepgrandc­hildren Steven and his wife Jane and Lewis.

The funeral is due to be held on Wednesday, October 31 at Accrington Crematoriu­m at 2.20pm, officiated by the minister David Ireland. Family flowers, with donations to Alzheimer’s Research.
