A message of peace

FRIENDS of Bocholt are visiting Rossendale’s twin town to mark a 35-year partnership.

Roger Markman, of Bacup, will present a plaque on behalf of Rossendale commemorating the centenary of the end of the First World War, bearing the message ‘Forever peace’.

The local Savings Bank will also unveil a bench displaying an aerial photograph of the Rossendale valley, along with the emblems of the Friends of Bocholt and its partner organisation.
