Plenty of spooky goings on
THERE’S plenty going bump in the night for little ones and bigger ones alike this Halloween.
An East Lancashire Railway ghost train with fancy dress, tricks and treats will steam through the Irwell valley. Every little monster will get a free goody bag. Buy tickets at eastlancsrailway.org.uk.
l A family friendly one-mile pumpkin trail in aid of Rossendale Hospice will be held at Stubbylee and Moorlands Park in Bacup.
Visitors can follow the trail to find spooky pumpkin boxes from 10am to 3pm this weekend October 27 to 28.

l A Halloween scarecrow trail is in Helmshore on October 27 to 28. Buy £2.50 maps from Neary’s store. Bacup Nat is hosting a free ‘Mrs Ibbitts’ Haunted House’ night on Wednesday, October 31. The event is for up to age 12, from 4.30pm to 7pm.
l Sunnybank Social Club, on Helmshore Road, Helmshore will hold a fancy dress Halloween party and disco on Saturday from 5pm with tickets £3 for kids and free for adults.
