ALAN Wright’s comments (‘Bike man in a rude mood’ October 26) are very similar to trying to walk down Holland Avenue in Rawtenstall.

You take your life in your hands trying to avoid the idiots who speed down from Cribden and travel across the Holland Avenue footpath without stopping, regardless of the fact there are people, dogs and children on the footpath. Weekends are a nightmare. Christine Hodgson via email
