American exposure for Heffron
BOXING SHELDAN KEAY MARK Heffron will get the chance to fight in front of an American TV audience after ESPN+ announced they will be broadcasting his next fight.
Heffron is competing on the undercard of the Josh Warrington vs. Carl Frampton fight for the IBF featherweight title at the Manchester Arena on December 22.
The 26-year-old will now be seen by fans in the USA, as he challenges for the vacant British middleweight title, against an opponent still to be announced.
Just like Heffron, both Warrington and Frampton are glad to have the deal in place with ESPN+ and they’re looking forward to competing in front of a bigger audience.
Warrington said: “I am truly honoured that ESPN+ will be showing my fight. The long-term aim is to fight in the United States, so this is preparing the audience! The fans are going to witness something special on December 22.”
Frampton added: “It is fantastic news that my bid to become a world champion again will be screened live on such a heavily subscribed US platform as ESPN+.
“It is always a thrill to know that your fights are being showcased to an American audience, and I fully believe they will see something special from me on December 22.”
