PARISHIONERS are putting the final touches to their first major event of the Christmas season.
Edenfield Parish Church will hold a special ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ festival from Thursday, December 13, to Saturday, December 15.
The ground floor window displays on the Grade II listed building will be designed and produced by families and organisations from the village and surrounding areas to give their own interpretation of the ‘Twelve Days of Christmas’ song.
Festival craft stalls will be set up on the first floor of the Market Street church and refreshments are available.
The church’s annual carol service, the traditional Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols, will also take place on Sunday, December 23, at 6.30pm.
Churchwarden David Foster said “We would like to extend a very warm Edenfield welcome to share in all our Christmas events with us.
“Please come and join us for The Twelve Days of Christmas’ and our carol service.”
Entry is free and the festival will open from 10.30am to 7pm on Thursday, December 13 and 10.30am to 5pm on Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15.
