Teens threaten jog­ger with knife

A JOG­GER was threat­ened with a knife by three young teenage boys.

Po­lice said the man was jog­ging through the Glen on Bacup Road, Stack­steads, at around 5.20pm on Thurs­day, De­cem­ber 6.

His path was blocked by three males. As he asked to be let through, one of the boys pro­duced a knife and threat­ened him be­fore chas­ing him through the Glen in the di­rec­tion of Water­foot.

In a state­ment, Lan­cashire Po­lice said: “For­tu­nately the jog­ger was able to es­cape un­hurt. The of­fender then made off back to­wards Stack­steads in com­pany with the other two males.

“The of­fend­ers are de­scribed as white males be­tween the ages of 13 and 16, all three were of slim build and were po­ten­tially wear­ing school uni­form.

“This is a very se­ri­ous in­ci­dent which took place dur­ing rush hour when there would been a lot of peo­ple in the area. Those who were wit­ness to the in­ci­dent or any­one who may have been driv­ing through the Glen with dash­cams are urged to con­tact po­lice.”
