Teens threaten jogger with knife
A JOGGER was threatened with a knife by three young teenage boys.
Police said the man was jogging through the Glen on Bacup Road, Stacksteads, at around 5.20pm on Thursday, December 6.
His path was blocked by three males. As he asked to be let through, one of the boys produced a knife and threatened him before chasing him through the Glen in the direction of Waterfoot.
In a statement, Lancashire Police said: “Fortunately the jogger was able to escape unhurt. The offender then made off back towards Stacksteads in company with the other two males.
“The offenders are described as white males between the ages of 13 and 16, all three were of slim build and were potentially wearing school uniform.
“This is a very serious incident which took place during rush hour when there would been a lot of people in the area. Those who were witness to the incident or anyone who may have been driving through the Glen with dashcams are urged to contact police.”
