Festive dinner treat

MORE than 80 pensioners were treated to a full three-course meal at the annual Christmas dinner in Stacksteads.

There was free entertainment and a raffle at the Rose ‘N’ Bowl, funded by events held earlier in the year.

One of the organisers, Jimmy Eaton, said it was a great event.

He added: “I would like to thank Lords Caterers and all the staff at the Rose ‘N’ Bowl for putting on wonderful food and excellent service. Also a big thank you to the generosity of the people in Rossendale that have supported these events. Finally to thank the people who have helped put these events on and a special thanks must go to David Edmondson.”
