Carols, gifts and kisses for Santa

IN our weekly Nostalgia feature we publish a set of photographs shared by our regular nostalgia contributor, Peter Fisher.

This week we take a look back over the years at Christmas celebrations.

Our first picture of the week (top) is a snapshot of carollers from Fearns CS School accompanied by the brass group.

In our next picture (right), it’s kisses for Santa Claus at the Gateway Club Christmas party held at Rawtenstall Youth Centre.

Next (middle right), we have a photograph of Susan Jane Moore, of Parkwood Drive, Rawtenstall, the youngest age group winner in the YRC Christmas card contest, along with her two friends.

Below that (bottom right) we have a shot of the performers at the Civic Carol Night held in Ramsbottom.

Our final picture (below) shows the Tufty Club members, in Rawtenstall sitting with Santa as they receive their presents.

It is not known when the pictures were taken.
