ROSSENDALE RAMBLERS

ON Wednesday, December 12 we had an amazing turnout of 30 ramblers for our penultimate walk of 2018 – a 10 miler from Towneley Park, Burnley.

The weather was cool but dry, so we had a splendid walk through Worsthorne to Hurstwood Reservoir, and then back via Holme Chapel and Cliviger.

By the time you read this we will have had our Christmas walk and lunch to celebrate an excellent year for Rossendale Ramblers.

During the year we have changed the number of walks that we do, and also the length of these walks, as we have introduced two-hour evening walks, which proved very popular. Our membership has also increased during the year, which is very satisfying.

These excellent results are due to several factors, but we would like to thank the Rossendale Free Press – and you, the readers – for your support.
