CASES heard at Burn­ley Mag­is­trates Court:

ADAM Gor­don, 20, of Hall Fold, Whit­worth, pleaded guilty to as­sault by beat­ing. He was given a 12-month con­di­tional dis­charge and or­dered to pay £80 costs.

JOAN John­son, 74, of Bury Road, Rawten­stall, pleaded guilty to drink driv­ing. She was fined £180, or­dered to pay £85 costs and dis­qual­i­fied from driv­ing for 17 months, re­duced by 17 weeks if she com­pletes a course ap­proved by the Sec­re­tary of State.

ABEL Ha­worth, 22, of Up­per Ash Mount, Clough­fold, pleaded guilty to drug driv­ing, driv­ing with­out a li­cence and us­ing a ve­hi­cle with­out in­sur­ance and no test cer­tifi­cate. He was fined £500, or­dered to pay £85 costs and dis­qual­i­fied from driv­ing for 12 months. JOHN Stephen Ge­orge Har­ris, 40, of Bacup Road, Water­foot, pleaded guilty to drink driv­ing. He was fined £400, or­dered to pay £85 costs and dis­qual­i­fied from driv­ing for 36 months, re­duced by 36 weeks if he com­pletes a course ap­proved by the Sec­re­tary of State.

GE­ORGE Ste­wart, 21, of Buchanon Street, Rams­bot­tom, pleaded guilty to tak­ing a ve­hi­cle with­out the owner’s con­sent, us­ing a car with­out in­sur­ance and driv­ing with­out a li­cence. He was fined £200, or­dered to pay £85 costs and given six points on his driv­ing li­cence. CASES heard at Black­burn Mag­is­trates Court:

DONNA Louise Monks, 40, of Wal­nut Street, Bacup, pleaded guilty to two counts of shoplift­ing and one count of fail­ing to sur­ren­der into cus­tody hav­ing been re­leased on bail. She was given a 12-month com­mu­nity or­der with a six-month drug re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion re­quire­ment, a three­month ex­clu­sion re­quire­ment not to en­ter any Coop or Su­per­drug stores, a ten-day re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion ac­tiv­ity re­quire­ment and or­dered to pay £85 costs. DANIEL Cain, 44, of Stave­ley Close, Bacup, pleaded guilty to harass­ment. He was given a 12-month com­mu­nity or­der with a one-month cur­few re­quire­ment, a 20-day re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion ac­tiv­ity re­quire­ment, a 12-month re­strain­ing or­der and or­dered to pay £85 costs. RE­BECCA Louise Waldron, 28, of Mar­ket Street, Shaw­forth, pleaded guilty to shoplift­ing and while sub­ject to a sus­pended sen­tence or­der. She was jailed for nine weeks.

AN­DREW John Crofts, 47, of Manch­ester Road, Ewood Bridge, Hasling­den, pleaded guilty to as­sault by beat­ing. He was fined £500 and or­dered to pay £150 costs.
