MISS Charlotte Marie Gledhill, of Goodshaw Avenue, passed away at home on Saturday, June 15, aged 34.

Beloved daughter of the late Diane Gledhill, much loved mum of Chelsea, Alfie and Cody.

Dearly loved sister of Matthew, Rebecca and Fallon.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, July 3 at MRS Catherine Nunn, known as Kathleen, died on Tuesday, June 18 at her home, aged 91.

Kathleen was born in Baxenden and attended St Anne’s R.C. School.

She worked at various factories and shops in both Haslingden and Accrington.

Daughter of the late Stan and Margaret Condron and wife of the late James, she leaves her cousin Carol and her husband Geoff, their daughter Charlotte, along with her close and dear friend Brenda, friends and neighbours, especially Rosa and Michael, Anne and Michael and Kath and Terry.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday, July 3, at 11am, with Requiem Mass at St Mary’s R C Church, Haslingden, followed by interment at Haslingden Cemetery, officiated by Fr John Broadley.

Funeral director: Josephine Durning for Johnson, Durning and Woods Funeral Service. KRISTIAN was tragically killed in a road traffic collision in the early hours of Monday, June 17, aged 24.

He was born in Manchester to Paula Johnson, nee Naughton, and the late Peter Gary Gus Johnson (known as Gus) and was an only child.

Kristian and his parents moved to Weir in Bacup in 2006, where he attended All Saints School and then Burnley College where he did his A Levels.

Kristian was a beautiful person: he was kind, funny, caring and intelligen­t and enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends.

He had a passion for music, enjoyed going to concerts and particular­ly enjoyed listening to The Streets.

Kristian will be so dearly missed by his mum, whose heart has been broken by this tragic event and who has had her only child taken from her.

Kristian will also be dearly missed by his grandma and grandad, Sandra and Jack Naughton, aunties, uncles and lots of cousins.

His funeral will take place next week on Friday, July 5, when Mr Damien Philips will conduct a DOROTHY Davison passed away peacefully at Turfcote Nursing Home, Helmshore on Sunday, June 23, aged 90.

She will be remembered as a very lively and joyful personalit­y who was active in the local community.

Dorothy was a loving and caring mother and brought up two children, who she introduced to the joys of foreign food and travel.

She was an active member of the Rossendale ladies choir and sang several times in Bocholt, Germany, which is twinned with Rawtenstal­l.

Along with Geoff, her deceased husband, she transforme­d a derelict moorland farmhouse at Tippett Farm in the DEBBIE Hanlon (nee Roscoe), of Woodlands View, Broadcloug­h, Bacup, died peacefully after a short illness at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, on Sunday, June 23, aged 48.

She leaves son Ryan, fiancé Lee, father Keith, brother Keith, and sisters Tina and Sue Elisabeth.

In her youth she was a county class swimmer, but was better known for her equestrian prowess, particular­ly in three-day THE Reverend Canon Martin Gooder died peacefully at home after a long illness on Wednesday, June 19, aged 82.

As a Minister in the Church of England, Martin was much loved by many as he served along with his wife Carol for a period of 42 years in different parishes in the North West of England, including Barrow-inFurness, Bolton, Manchester and latterly, Bacup.

He had a passion and zeal for ministry to urban and inner-city parishes and in the early 60s was instrument­al in leading and building up Brunswick Parish Church, following the slum housing clearance that was taking place in many parts of Manchester at that time.

In 1992 he came to Bacup where he was vicar of Christ Church and during his time there he developed a fruitful ministry until he retired in 2002.

Just before retirement he became Honorary Canon at Manchester Cathedral and chose to make his and Carol’s retirement home in Bacup.

They began to worship at Holy Trinity, Tunstead, where they both helped out with Church services as well as leading home study groups.

Martin will be remembered for his commitment to sharing the Gospel as well as sharing his love for Jesus with all he met.

He was a keen gardener and had a particular gift for fruit growing.

Other great loves included photograph­y and hill and coast walking; he and his family spent many happy holidays in the Lakes and the Peak District as well as other parts of England and Wales.

He leaves his wife Carol, their daughters Rachel and Paula, sons-in-law Simon and Peter, and their two grandchild­ren Susannah and Ruth.

His funeral will take place at Holy Trinity, Tunstead with Saint Saviour, Bacup on Friday, July 5 at 12.30pm.

Family flowers only with donations being given through Knight and Boys Funeral Directors with all contributi­ons going to Holy Trinity, Tunstead, and Brunswick Parish Church for their continuing work.
