CASES heard at Burnley Magistrates Court:
ABUL Hussain, 28, of Schofield Close, Rawtenstall, pleaded guilty to failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver to police. He was fined £373, ordered to pay £250 costs and given six points on his driving licence.
STEVEN David Niven, 52, of Osborne Terrace, Bacup was found guilty in his absence of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver to police. He was fined £660, ordered to pay £85 costs and given six points on his driving licence.
WASIF Mahmood, 25, of Windermere Avenue, Burnley, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Edenfield. He was fined £400, ordered to pay £500 costs and disqualified from driving for 18 months, reduced by 18 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State. CASES heard at Blackburn Magistrates Court:
MARY-JANE Gilheaney, 29, of Peel Street, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to three counts of shoplifting while subject to a suspended sentence order. She was jailed for 16 weeks.
CARMEN Ashworth, 40, of c/o Tong Lane, Bacup, was found guilty in her absence of shoplifting and pleaded guilty to failing to surrender into custody having been released on bail. She was given a 12-month conditional discharge order.
MICHEAL Taylor, 64, of Ullswater Way, Water, pleaded guilty to criminal damage. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.
MICHAEL Shields, 52, of Heald Close, Rochdale, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Whitworth. He was given a 12-month community order with 120 hours unpaid work, ordered to pay £300 costs and disqualified from driving for 24 months, reduced by 24 weeks if he completes a course approved by the Secretary of State.
FAYE Hayley Lawrenson, 24, of Cross Street North, Haslingden, admitted failing to comply with the requirements of a community order. She was fined £50.
MARK Holmes, 48, of New Line, Britannia, pleaded guilty to drink driving. He was given an eight-week jail sentence, suspended for 12 months, with a supervision requirement, a 25-day rehabilitation activity requirement and disqualified from driving for 48 months.
FOZLUR Rahman, 32, of Beaconsfield Street, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was given a two-year community order with a 40-day programme requirement, a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement, fined £80 and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £150 costs.
