CASES heard at Burnley Magistrates Court:
CHRISTOPHER McTernan, 50, of New Line, Bacup, was found guilty in his absence of abandoning a motor vehicle on land in the open air without lawful authority. He was fined £440 and ordered to pay £220 compensation and £570 costs.
SHOFIK Miah, 55, of Ormerod Street, Rawtenstall, was found guilty in his absence of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver to police. He was fined £660, ordered to pay £100 costs and given six points on his driving licence.
PETER McKenna, 66, of Whittle Street, Rawtenstall, pleaded guilty to speeding in Whitworth. He was fined £40, ordered to pay £85 costs and given three points on his driving licence.
CASES that were heard at Blackburn
Magistrates Court:
KEIRAN Nolan, 40, of Bacup Road, Rawtenstall, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly at Royal Blackburn Hospital while subject to a conditional discharge order. He was given a six-month community order with an alcohol treatment requirement, a six-month exclusion order not to enter the grounds of Royal Blackburn Hospital save for a genuine medical emergency and ordered to pay £85 costs.
ADRIAN Taylor, 30, of Pentland House, Haslingden, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. He was given a 12-month community order with a six-month alcohol treatment requirement, a 14-day programme requirement, a 20-day rehabilitation activity requirement, a two-year restraining order and ordered to pay £200 compensation and £100 costs.
