PHIL PETERS JEFFREY DALE ASHWORTH
MR Phil Peters Jeffrey, of Helmshore Road, Haslingden, died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Friday, September 25, aged 83.
He was an area cashier for British Gas.
Phil was a former secretary of Rossendale United FC, and a keen amateur cricketer and gardener. He loved his Greek Island holidays, especially Kefalonia.
Husband of the late Margaret and father of the late Ian, he leaves son Stephen, daughter
Sandra, daughters-in-law Jean and Julie, son-in-law Steven, and grandchildren Emily, Alex, Ryan, and Chloe.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, October 8, at 12.15pm at Burnley Crematorium, led by
MR Dale Ashworth, of Patrick Crescent, Higher Cloughfold, died at home, on Tuesday, September 22, aged 72.
He was a forklift truck driver at J&E Transport, which became Scottish Road Services.
Dale collected Diecast trucks, enjoyed a drink, loved Emmerdale Farm and Last of the Summer Wine, and was very proud of his grandchildren.
He was a member of
The Deaf Club at Oakenhead, where he met his friends.
Brother of the late John and Alan, he leaves son Steven and daughter-inlaw Fabia, grandchildren Sonny, Lily, Spencer, Fern, and Kelsey, brothers Terry and Ian, sisters Ann, Alice, Lynne, Ellen, and nephews and nieces.
The funeral will be held on Friday, October 9, with a service at Burnley Crematorium, led by Kathy Unsworth.
The cortège will go round Patrick Crescent at 1.50pm, en route to Burnley Crematorium.
