Family’s tribute to ‘role model’ mum
THE family of a mum who died in a crash have paid tribute to a “remarkable woman” who “conquered the hearts of many”.
Marukh Aslam was the passenger of a black Audi A1 when it collided with a wall in Holcombe Brook on December 2.
The tragic incident happened on Bolton Road West at around 1.40am.
Sadly, the 35-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a touching statement, her family described Marukh as an “extraordinary role model” who was “taken too soon”.
They said: “A daughter, sister, aunty, mother and a friend to many who was taken too soon.
“She was an extraordinary role model and a remarkable woman with good deeds who conquered the hearts of many. Heaven has truly gained an angel, you can now spread your wings, fly high and watch over all your loved ones...Gone but never forgotten, until we meet again beautiful.”
Following the incident, a 44-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, driving while unfit through drink or drugs and police assault.
She has since been released on bail.
Officers are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage, or information about the crash, to get in touch.
