Nativity heads outdoors... and the animals star too

-

A PRIMARY school has decided to staged its traditional Christmas nativity outdoors, to sidestep coronavirus restrictions.

St Peter’s RC Primary School in Newchurch, decided to hold an outdoor nativity this year, due to Covid restrictions, and have also decided to film the show.

As the school was unable to hold the play in the school hall, as tradition, they took the opportunity to set the play in the stunning school grounds.

To get the full nature experience, the stage was even complete with an outdoor stable and live animals.

The show was filmed and will be available to watch for those who could not attend as normal.

Headteacher Helen Sullivan said: “The finished show will be shared online with our school community and ensures our youngest children don’t miss out on the right of passage of performing in a Christmas nativity.”
