Footlights performing arts acting up to take top award

THE owner of Footlights Rossendale picked up two gongs at the National Franchise Awards 2020.

Aaron Doherty, who runs Footlights Burnley as well the one in Rossendale, took home the Franchisee Local Focus award and the Franchisee of the Year Award during the virtual ceremony.

The Franchisee of the Year Award was voted on by the almost 1,000 attendees at the night run by the British Franchise Associatio­n.

Footlights Rossendale is a performing arts school which runs classes throughout the week at Haslingden High School and Haslingden Link.

Over the past two years it has grown with over 200 weekly clients.

Aaron said: “I was elated to hear that my hard work has paid off and I’ve been nationally recognised to win this award.

“I am so passionate about Footlights and work so hard to make it the best that it can be.”

He also said that franchisin­g gave

Footlights the opportunit­y to bring the performing arts to all ages across the country quickly and ethically.

“To get this award shows we are truly providing both exceptiona­l service to our customers and working in a truly ethical manner for our franchisee­s and all staff,” he said.

The awards evening was postponed and held online this year due to coronaviru­s.
