WHAT you’ve been saying on our Facebook page:

SNOW falls across the region causing problems (December 29):

Paul Lambert: There’s 0.00001mm in Stacksteads. I fear I may be snowed in

David Camm: 2 inches up here all roads very slippy!

Bas Hopkins: There’s loads on the tops. Rossendale’s got valleys - loads in Weir etc Lynne Jane: Enough to stop the buses from running up here all morning.

Michelle Stuart Daley: Didn’t stop the buses in the 70s as I recall everything just carrying on...

●● LANCASHIRE County Council contributes £150,000 towards Rawtenstall (page 5):

Moh Micky Bahadur: Oh yes, Rawtenstall needs it more than Haslingden, Waterfoot or Bacup, always the same story. Just had 3.5m spent on the bus station!

Derek Duckworth: Don’t think Haslingden has had 150k from the council ever. Where is the money from the sales of the bus depot and the public baths...mmm food for thought.

Thomas Maltsby: How many times has money been given with much fanfare only to be withdrawn with a whimper, I wonder whether councillors’ pension pots are withdrawn? Don’t think so.

Jenny Dempsey: Does anyone remember Whitworth ever?

Janet Golden: I notice Haslingden has been included!

Beckie Louise Broadhurst: £3.5m would be closer to the figure needed to improve run down areas in Rossendale but this is not just the story of here, all around the country towns are suffering from lack of investment. Elizabeth Fitton: A meeting point just like the Square in Rawtenstall - I give up.

Claire Lynskey: Just more money for our local council to squander. Suzanne Cartwright: Joke. What about all us surrounding villages?

●● PATRICIA Robinson obituary (December 25):

Jill Bolton: Our Pat...a wonderful lady and friend to our family...she will be sadly missed!

Nic Nic Spencer: Pat you were a wonderful friend/ neighbour to me and my gran, you will be sadly missed. Thoughts with your family at this sadly missed. Great woman! x
