Tributes to tragic nurse
TRIBUTES have been paid after the heartbreaking death of a “dedicated” Lancashire nurse who died after contracting coronavirus.
Bridget Palmer had worked at East Lancashire Hospitals Trust since 2012 and was “caring and compassionate towards all her patients and their families, always putting them first”.
The married mum-of-two worked on wards at the Royal Blackburn site before moving to Ribblesdale Ward at Clitheroe Community Hospital as a staff nurse. She died from Covid-19 on December 29.
Kevin McGee, chief executive of East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust, lead tributes to the “most treasured and respected member of the ELHT family” and said will be “missed considerably by many”.
