Free meals to continue
SCHOOL pupils from the poorest families can continue to get free meals during the third national lockdown.
Boris Johnson confirmed all schools will close until at least the February half term, except for vulnerable children and children of ‘key workers.
He also confirmed free school meals will continue throughout the new lockdown period.
Healey & Whitworth councillor Alan Neal, who is Vice President of the Lancashire Association of Local Councils, has expressed concerns the short notice to schools could “see a repeat of the last half-term school holidays.”
