Arrests as police vehicle is ‘rammed’

POLICE have made three arrests following an incident in which a police car was ‘rammed’.

Lancashire Constabula­ry officers confirmed they arrested three men on Grane Road in Haslingden last Wednesday afternoon, January 13.

The arrests were linked to an earlier incident in

Haslingden where a police car was rammed, officers said.

The three men have been arrested on suspicion of theft of a vehicle, possession of drugs and dangerous driving.

Two men aged 19 and one man aged 18 remain in police custody, say police.

Officers said that members of the public helped to assist officers at the scene and have offered their thanks.

A spokespers­on for Lancashire Constabula­ry said: “Thank you to the public at the scene who assisted officers. You know who you are.”

Rossendale Police have issued an appeal for anyone with potential CCTV footage in relation to an incident that took place on Monday night, January 18.
