RONALD HOWARTH
MR Ronald Bradman Howarth, of Woodcroft Street, Rawtenstall, died at Blackburn Hospital on Friday, February 5, aged 90.
He worked as a travelling sales rep for Ashworth & Platt and retired in 1996.
Ronald was a keen cricketer; he played alongside Everton Weekes at BCC then went on to manage the second team.
He was the drummer for a dance band called
The Skylines that played at the old Astoria.
He leaves his wife Mary Howarth, two children Tina and Steven, five grandchildren, and three greatgrandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, February 13, led by David Burrows, departing from the chapel of rest at Fred Hamer, Rawtenstall at 12.30pm, for a celebration of life at Burnley Crematorium.
