Falling rocks cause crash
A CRASH resulted in a key road becoming blocked.
Lancashire Police officers rushed to the scene on Manchester Road between Haslingden Tesco and the Woolpack roundabout on Tuesday night, February 16.
Members of the public reported a ‘heavy police presence’ in the area at around 7pm. Pictures from the scene showed multiple Lancashire
Constabulary vehicles assisting with a grey Vauxhall Astra in the road.
A number of police officers could also be seen speaking with the occupant of the vehicle. The collision was a damage-only incident, police confirmed. It is understood that some rocks had come off the back of a truck, causing damage to the tyre of a car. No injuries resulted from the incident.
