CONGRATULATIONS to our very own elite athlete in the making, Mrs Louise Kershaw, who successfully ran her first marathon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Sunday, October 10 in Manchester.

Mrs Kershaw - who said she actually ran 26.5 miles! - would like to thank everyone for all their support, kind words and donations.

So far she has raised an impressive £847 for the worthy charity which is enough to pay for a Macmillan nurse to care for a cancer patient in their home for seven days!

It isn’t too late to support Mrs Kershaw and this worthy cause.

If anyone would like to donate, visit justgiving.

A big well done to Year
