Superdrug’s B. range is a real bargain skincare secret. The line, which starts from £4.99, has just relaunched with reformulated products and new packaging designed to make it simple – and affordable – to tackle whatever your complexion concern may be. It also gets the seal of approval from cosmetic doctor and clinical skincare expert Dr Ewoma Ukeleghe, who has just come on board as ambassador for the range.
A new Urban Decay Naked palette always sets off squeals of excitement throughout the beauty community, and the latest, the Naked Cyber Palette, £45, is out of this world. Partnostalgic teen glitters and partBritney in the Oops!... I Did It Again music video, the combination of neutrals, frosty shimmers and duochromes is ideal for anyone who likes experimenting with make-up but doesn’t necessarily want a dark, smoky eye.
Skin Nova, £27, describes itself as a “radiance primer and hydrator in one”. If you like Glossier’s Futuredew but find it a bit too glossy for slathering all over the face, give this a try – it gives the silky, balm-like feel of a great moisturiser with an almost invisible gold-tinged sheen. It’s the perfect make-up primer, but is fab for bare-faced days, too.
With its intoxicating name and stunning cut-glass flacon, Kilian Paris’s Apple Brandy On The Rocks EDP, £165, might look like something you would find in an exclusive gentlemen’s club. However, the perfume is a suits-all combination of crisp apple, juicy pineapple and rich, boozy notes of rum, moss and vanilla. It speaks of Bonfire Night parties, velvet smoking jackets and conversations around the fireplace that go on well into the early hours.
