U9 JUNIOR HOOPS FALCONS V U9 RISHTON UNITED BLUE

-

THE Falcons turned out a strong side to play an in-form Rishton United Blue on a damp Saturday morning away from home.

The match started off at a frantic pace with Declan being called on immediately to put in some fantastic saves and deny a powerful Rishton attack. Declan was brilliant throughout the match pulling off several top-quality saves and fearless in being first to anything on the ground.

Hoops quickly organised themselves into their positions and with Jake and Cain in left and centre midfield began to structure the team with some fantastic sniping runs through the middle. George, Cole and Dec were immense throughout. The match ebbed and flowed with Hoops running themselves into the ground always looking for the pass to set free Zac and Ihsaan up front. This was a hard match against skilled opponents but Hoops never dropped their heads and in what was probably their standout performance of the season walked off the pitch having given everything.

Man of the match went to Teddy who played in left midfield. His never-say-die attitude saw some formidable tackles and free running that was truly a pleasure to watch.

JHFC U9 EAGLES

A GREAT away performance from the U9 Eagles. Rosegrove started strongly but we grew into it and matched them for the rest of the half but lack of finishing from us and an inspired goalkeeping performance from George Trulove kept it even.

Second half we were the better side and made lots of chances finishing the hard ones and missing glorious chances.

Unfortunately we conceded late but the boys were awesome.

Really good football from both sides and a really competitive match.

POTM goes to George Trulove for his great saves and his work rate as a left wing-back.
