HASLINGDEN St Marys crash out of the Stuart Rowe cup due to a poor second half showing.

The conditions and the pitch were very poor as was the performance in the second half. Lytham played a very direct and industrial style that the Marys defence didn’t deal with. Despite being poor after a great run of six games it was the Hoops who squandered a glorious chance with two minutes to go to grab the victory. The highlight of the game was the performance of 16-yearold full back Tom Bacon and the signing of yet another quality u18 player Harvey Hayhurst.
