AMILLION pound gym is set to bring jobs to Rawtenstall ahead of Christmas with the opening of the new Thrive Gym leisure complex.

The facility is set to open for a December soft launch, ahead of a full opening in the New Year and the gym is now recruiting for staff members to join the team.

Thrive Rawtenstall will be the second Thrive in the UK, following its original leisure complex in Bolton.

The opening of the stateof-the-art gym will bring 20 local jobs to Rawtenstall, including opportunities for local entrepreneurs who are hoping to launch their own businesses.

The new leisure complex will see a healthy eating cafe, hair salon, beauty salon, solarium and juice bar be created and is said to have already been inundated with interest from local businesses hoping to use the space.

In the second phase of the redevelopment next year, the creation of a high tech Physiotherapy and Recovery Centre, as well as additional office space, is set to complete the site transformation.

“We are very excited to open our doors and looking forward to welcoming our new members, and becoming part of the community,” a spokesperson for Thrive Gym explained.

“We aren’t just building a gym, we are building a community hub, and having the opportunity to create jobs and new starts for local businesses is key to our vision.

“We have built standalone units within the main space which will house a hair salon, solarium with sun beds, a beauty salon, juice bar and healthy

cafe. This is about creating a space the Rawtenstall community can be proud of and enjoy using and that ‘community feel’ is at the heart of all our plans.”

The new Thrive Gym hosts a 22,000 sq ft training space on the site of the former Kwik Save at Orient One. It will also have a range of training equipment in a

large state-of-the-art gymnasium including free weights, cardio machines and cable motion strength training stations.

The 10,000 sq ft mezzanine floor above the main gym space will host Yoga, Pilates, Spinning and HIIT Studios, all air-conditioned and accessible.

Members who sign up

early will receive their first month of membership for free, as well as being invited to a VIP launch party in December before the official opening in January.

Those interested in joining the team or operating their own business at Thrive Rawtenstall are encouraged to email gareth.evans@ thriveuk.co.uk
